Harrisburg, North Carolina - Two-time and defending NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series Champion, Andy Santerre and his #6 Bessey Motorsports team are looking forward to the June 18th Aubuchon 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway, and, on making themselves accessible to fans at two appearances throughout the weekend.

Aubuchon Hardware, primary sponsor for Andy Santerre and Bessey Motorsports, will not only sponsor the 150-lap NASCAR Busch North Series event; they will entertain 150 employees for the event.

"Having Aubuchon Hardware sponsor the event and having 150 people in the stands adds a little pressure, I'll be honest" the 35-year old Santerre admitted. "Lucky for me Ithrive on pressure and enjoy the added responsibility; still, we arrive at each track with the goal of winning the race so Stafford is no different in that regard. I have a great feeling about the event and I am excited that Aubuchon is so much a part of the weekend's activities."

Stafford has been a strong track for Santerre in the past decade. In 12 starts, ranging from 1993 to 2003, Santerre has scored two wins, seven top-three, eight top-five and nine top-10 finishes. He has led a total of 409 laps and has completed 99% of all Busch North Series laps run at the track.

"I have always liked Stafford," Santerre said. "It suits my driving style. The straightaways are long and like a drag strip and the corners need finesse. I am more of a rhythm driver and Stafford lends itself to that driving style. I have no reason to think we will have anything but a successful weekend."

Aubuchon Hardware will host their 4th annual race-related Employee Appreciation Day at the track. In addition to tickets to the night's events, including the Aubuchon 150, employees will enjoy a hospitality tent complete with food, drinks and an appearance by their driver, Andy Santerre and the entire Bessey Motorsports crew.

"The sponsoring of both Andy Santerre and the Aubuchon Hardware 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway allows us to treat our employees and customers alike to a great night of racing," stated Michael Mattson, Advertising Director at Aubuchon Hardware. "With one of our hardware stores just down the street and a handful of stores within a 20-mile radius of the track, Stafford provides a terrific venue to reinforce Aubuchon Hardware's affiliation with the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series. We are looking to make the Aubuchon Hardware 150 a memorable experience for all who attend."

Prior to the June 18th festivities at the race track, Santerre will make an appearance on Thursday, June 17, 2004, at the Stafford Springs Aubuchon Hardware store in the Big Y Plaza on West Stafford Road.

Aubuchon Hardware store manager, Troy Joseph, is excited about the event, "We are absolutely thrilled to host such a great event. We will have the Aubuchon Hardware Chevrolet Monte Carlo on display the entire day. Folks can come by, check out the car and win race tickets. Plus, we have several give-away items for those who attend." Joseph continues, "The highlight of the day will be an autograph session by Andy Santerre from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM."

After what he hopes is a successful night of racing, Santerre will attend the Rhode Island National Guard Air Show on Saturday, June 19, 2004. Gates open at 9:00 AM. Santerre is scheduled to sign autographs from 11:00AM - 1:00 PM.
