2007 Updates

(Click here for the 2007 Race Schedule / Results)

October 23: The stars seemed to be aligning themselves for a return to glory for the Andy Santerre Motorsports bunch. Caisse won the pole for the fifth running of the Toyota All-Star Showdown and led the first 74 laps of the 250-lap affair in impressive fashion. Then, a tangle with a lapped car spelled doom for the #44 Chevrolet and the bad luck reared its ugly head once again in California. Click here to read the ASM press release.

September 25: Andy Santerre Motorsports' drivers proved that they were not even the least bit intimidated by the “Monster Mile” at Dover International Speedway as both Sean Caisse and Jeffrey Earnhardt took podium finishes in the NASCAR Busch East Series event. Caisse’s fourth victory of the season and Earnhardt’s career-best, third-place finish concluded the 2007 BES season on a high note. Click here to read the ASM press release.

September 17: ASM Driver Sean Caisse had a strong racecar that was consistently up front before a pit road miscue forced him to fight his way back up for a shot at the win. Caisse diced his way up to the leaders and had a strong shot at the victory, possibly his first-ever at NHIS, late in the race, but was forced to settle for a still-impressive second-place finish. August 28: Not even Mother Nature could stop Andy Santerre Motorsports at Mansfield Motorsport Park (OH) on Saturday for the NASCAR Busch East Series’ first-ever 150-lap event at the half-mile track. Sean Caisse took his fifth pole on the 2007 BES season and his third victory of the year. ASM teammate and Dale Earnhardt Inc. Development Driver Jeffrey Earnhardt scored his second-straight top-five finish. Click here to read the ASM press release.

August 20: The curves and hills of Lime Rock tried to keep Andy Santerre Motorsports from having a strong day, but nothing was going to keep Sean Caisse and Jeffrey Earnhardt from a stellar showing. Caisse was forced to start at the rear of the field after suffering transmission problems in qualifying and rallied his way to a shot at the victory, eventually coming just a few feet short of the win, while DEI Development Driver Jeffrey Earnhardt scored a career-best, fifth-place run in his first-ever road course start. July 30: Sean Caisse, who started in 5th, was able to finish 3rd after a wild final 10 laps at Adirondack International Speedway. Click here to read the ASM press release.

July 23: Sean Caisse added his name to Nashville, Tennessee's Music City Motorplex record books by earning the Busch Pole in the NASCAR Busch East Series’ first-ever visit to the historic racetrack. But when it came time for the 150-lap race Sunday evening, luck was not on the young star’s side, as an early incident caused by another competitor’s spin put a damper on Caisse’s night. Click here to read the ASM press release.

July 14: Sean Caisse snapped a four-race sour streak to score his second NASCAR Busch East Series win of the season, leading all but two laps in the Pepsi Racing 100 Saturday night at Thompson International Speedway. Click here to read the ASM press release.

June 8: Sean Caisse wins second straight pole. Mechanical issues lead to a 24th place finish. Jeffrey Earnhardt started 20th and finished 12th. Click here to read the ASM press release.

June 2: Sean Caisse wins outside pole at South Boston, but contact leads to overheating issues and a 27th place finish for Andy Santerre Motorsports. DEI Developmental Driver Jeffrey Earnhardt made it to 11th in the ASM-prepared #1 car before being involved in an accident. Earnhardt finished 20th. Click here to read the ASM press release.

May 22: Sean Caisse visits victory lane at Elko Speedway in Minnesota in the first race of Busch East / West double header. At Iowa Speedway, for the second race of the double header, Caisse was battling tire issues until one blew, sending him into the wall. Click here for the full ASM press release, or click here to see the story at the Busch East Series website.

APR 28: Andy Santerre Motorsports drivers Sean Caisse and Jeff Earnhardt finish 2nd and 6th, respectively, in South Carolina.

Feb 6: DEI (Dale Earnhardt, Inc.) announces that developmental driver Jeffrey Earnhardt will drive Chevrolets fielded by Andy Santerre Motorsports in the NASCAR Busch East Series. Click here to read the DEI press release.
